Wins Hospital Design Competition
Centennial Valley Animal Hospital PC at 259 Century Circle in Louisville, Colo., has won an international award for excellence in veterinary hospital design. The small animal hospital received a 2000 Hospital Design Competition Merit Award, sponsored by VETERINARY ECONOMICS, an international business magazine for veterinarians.Judges praised the hospital's exceptional floor plan and clean design. Dr. Lisa E. Barlow owns the 4,000-square-foot hospital.
During the 35th annual competition, judges chose 12 winners who will join a select list of hospitals that have earned the distinction. Veterinary hospitals compete in the following categories:

An Independent panel of judges spent two days reviewing 35 entries. Causeway Animal Hospital in Metairie, La., won top honors as the 2000 Hospital of the Year. The 2000 VETERINARY ECONOMICS Hospital Design Competition Merit Award winners are located in Kirkland, Wash; Glendale, Wis.; Montgomery, Ala.; Louisville, Colo.; Dallas; Findlay, Ohio; Tampa, Fla.; Garberville, Calif.; Marble Falls, Texas; Newport News, Va.; and Englewood, Colo."The Hospital Design Competition recognizes doctors who excel in high-quality patient care and client convenience," says Marnette Falley, editor of VETERINARY ECONOMICS. "Dr. Barlow sets the standard for veterinary care."
Each of the winning hospitals will be profiled in VETERINARY ECONOMICS and receive a plaque. Centennial Valley Animal Hospital PC will be featured in the May issue. VETERINARY ECONOMICS reaches 50,000 practicing veterinarians in the United State and Canada.
